The Fork clothing hanger is manufactured and handmade in WA State, United States.
Fork is created from a single piece of hand bent steel rod, that is then cut down the center with extreme precision by using a water jet from a local aerospace certified factory in WA. This reduces the material almost half comparing to a traditional metal hanger. To get much smooth and accurate cut, it is critical to set up the right jig to hold the rod in place, and more importantly to aim the best combination for temperature, speed and the humidity of the water.
We bent the hanger to shape by hand. During each bending process, we make individual custom jig to hold each part in place. The bending tool is also custom made in house. In order to welding multiple in once for efficiency, we also create jig to hold 6 in row for consistent result.
Last we silver soldered and finished with sanding all by hand. The silver solder is blended by hand to form a seamless connection. We want to treat hanger as a previous jewelry with fine craftsmanship and to display the beloved garment you have at home or retail space.
